We buy and sell

Buying books

We buy quality books, maps and prints in single units as well as in large batches such as home libaries and estates.

We buy literature in large variety. Language and the age of a book is not most relevant but rather we are looking for good condition and interesting content. At the moment we are especially interested in scientific literature (natural science, social science, humanities), architecture, design and art as well as quality fiction.  If you are planning to sell books you can reach us by:

  • email: hagelstam@gmail.com
  • phone: +358 9 649 291
  • or visiting us at our bookshop at Fredrikinkatu 35, Helsinki

For example you can take pictures of your books in the bookshelf (in a way that the spines are shown) and then send the pictures to us via email.

If you wish to sell books by coming to our bookshop, please make an appointment in advance.

Selling books

We serve our customers in our bookshop in Helsinki as well as through our online bookstore. The selection of items is different in these two, so in case an item can't be found in our online store we might have it in our bookshop and vice versa.

Items from the online bookstore can be requested for viewing to the bookshop by placing an order in our online store or contacting us in advance.

In case you are searching for a specific book or an edition we are happy to help you. You can leave us the information of the item you are searching for and your contact information and we will contact to you when the item has been found.

We give a 10% discount for students with valid student card from purchases made in the bookshop (discount doesn't include online store).
